House sales can diy help
Having recently considered selling my house and as with a lot of subjects similar to this have been attempting to find out what the best path to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or remain in it for a bit longer. I began by looking at different rooms in the house and thinking about what I might do to improve them and remove any issues I might feel about them.
The heart of my house is the kitchen so I started their looking at the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work space (fortunately I spoke to a local kitchen company about kitchen planning before purchasing). The floor was a bit of an issue with only lino down which had got a little ripped up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I got some tiling advice from a near by business to get the floor tiles that would blend in with the fitted kitchen without making the room appear to dark (just a few of the small things you need to think about when you come to sell your house, initial impressions are everything within the small time somebody has to view your house).
The next room I wanted to ensure was up to scratch was the bathroom, my bathroom layout was a little small due to some fitted cupboards which once taken out gave me masses more room (which if you are going on first view could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the local tiler for some good tiling advice and used larger light tiles which seemed to open the space in the bathroom, just one of the many things to be considering when purchasing bathroom tiles.
The other rooms I painted with a neutral light colour which drew the rooms out and provided the whole house with a fresh look. I then stripped out as much clutter as I could and stored everything that wasn’t essential away in the garage. The final thing, a house that I wanted to stay in, but after just one or two viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some good interest, so heres hoping ill be able to sell my house soon.
