Getting the most for my home

Having recently considered selling my house and as with all things similar to this have been attempting to find out what the best way to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or remain in it for a bit longer. I began by looking at various rooms in the house and thinking about what I could do to improve them and remove any issues I might feel about them.

Central to my house is the kitchen so I began by considering the kitchen layout, we have a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work space (fortunately I spoke to a near by kitchen company about kitchen planning before buying). The floor was a bit of an issue with only lino layed which had got a little chewed up as I had shoved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a near by company to get the floor tiles that would blend in with the fitted kitchen without making the room appear to dark (just some of the little things you have to think about when you come to sell your house, initial impressions need to be just right within the small window somebody has to look at you house).

The next room I needed to ensure was working was the bathroom, my bathroom layout was a bit small due to some fitted cupboards which once taken out gave me a lot more room (which if you are going on initial view could help sell my house). Once again I popped down to the local tiler for some useful tiling advice and went for big light tiles which appeared to open the space in the bathroom, just one of the many things to be thinking about when purchasing bathroom tiles.

The other rooms I painted with a neutral light colour which seemed to draw the rooms out and provided the whole house with a new look. I then stripped out as much stuff as I could and boxed everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. Finished result, a house that I wanted to stay in, but after just a few viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some serious interest, so heres hoping ill be able to sell my house soon.
