Why I Chose Sunless Tanning

Posted by Thinker on Apr 30, 2009 in Thinkable

In a few weeks I am off to gorgeous Hawaii for a care-free respite of fun in the sun. But living in the Rocky Mountain region of the continental United States, I tend to be more habituated to snow-filled days, even during the spring time.

I have many items to check off before I am ready for my respite from the rigors of life, a few items more important than others. But the one particular item on my list I am writing about today affects my pasty white skin.

I do know that it is a myth how establishing a foundation tan might help you preclude sun burning, however that does not cease me from feeling inhibited about being so ghostly white and tanless in an region where almost all people is accustomed to dressing in skin-revealing clothes while playing in the sunshine.

So to assist me to feel self-assured and care-free while on my treasured and unusual vacation time, I have investigated the optimum ways to build a normal looking suntan in front of hitting the scenic beaches of Hawaii.

One option could be airbrush sunless tan systems. With this sunless suntanning selection, I can have a professional tanning salon meticulously apply and tone my suntan to my spec.

I understand that some people think I should try a commercial tan bed instead of a sunless spray suntan, however I’m not crazy about overdoing my UV ray exposure. The minimum amount of melanin in my skin may make me particularly susceptible to skin harm.

I am hoping to reduce my skin shyness so I might fully relax and enjoy my vacation, not commence an extended effort to develop melanoma symptoms or white spots from tanning.

It is my understanding that those white spots from tanning are more likely to happen with salon bronzing beds, either because of a fungus caught in a less-than-sanitary communal facility or because of impressions in my skin created from the pressure points of reclining in the bed.

So I’ve narrowed my airbrush suntanning to a couple of well-established bronzing parlors. I may just grab a sunless tanning cream to employ in the privateness of my home, but I think I will start with a salon sunless tan than keep it with a sunless tanning lotion.

From my research, I am confident I can obviate the affected look which people pigeonhole of the sunless tan, but I reckon you never know for certain until you attempt it yourself. I will make sure to work on my sunless suntan long before I depart for vacation so I can evolve the process and master my tan to look my most natural when I get at that place.

Should You Buy An Electric or Acoustic Guitar?

Posted by Thinker on Apr 30, 2009 in Thinkable

“Picking” the right guitar for you can be quite an ordeal. You want it to look cool hanging from around your neck, but you also want it to be comfortable and unique. You see the many different types on television and that makes it even more difficult to decide. The first decision that you have to make is between an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar. Knowing a few things about both might help you to make and informed and educated decision.

The biggest difference between an acoustic and an electric guitar is quite simply amplification. An electric one needs an amplifier, but they are much easier to play. The electric instrument will cost more because you will have to purchase a good amp, and they both cost quite a bit of money. The acoustic instrument is more limited in shape and size because both shape and size make a difference on the sound that comes from the guitar itself.

You do get more of a selection when you choose an electric one. Although an electric guitars are easier to learn on, there are obviously limited types of music that you can play with it. So, if you learn with an acoustic one, you might find yourself a better musician in the end.

Acoustic guitars do have choices as well. You can get a steel string or a nylon string guitar. A nylon string guitar is good for playing music styles such as classical, flamenco, and folk. The reason for the particular styles is that the nylon string produces a more tranquil and smoother sound.

The steel string guitars are much louder and you find that they gravitate more towards rock, country, and any other style that requires a louder, crisper sound. While the nylon is almost always played with fingers, the steel string is usually played with a pick.

Deciding between an electric and an acoustic instrument can be a moot point due to the option of buying a blended guitar. This type of guitar combines the ease of learning generally associated with an electric guitar and the rich sound of an acoustic guitar.

The design and style of the blended guitars are also a combination of both kinds of guitars in that the body is similar to an acoustic instrument while the neck generally resembles the electric instrument style. The blended guitar sounds much better when used with an amplifier rather than by itself.

Do not bite off more than you can chew. You should master whatever you feel the most comfortable with first. For example, many people fall in love with the sound of a twelve-string guitar. This instrument is known for a rich sound that resembles two guitars playing at once. The twelve-string guitar would be frustrating and infinitely harder to learn before mastering a simpler six string electric guitar.

You may want to pay close attention to your own preferences. If you want to be a rock star, and you love Aerosmith, looking for a huge acoustic guitar would not be the wisest decision because you will hate learning to play. The same rule applies for the next James Taylor; don’t invest in an expensive amplifier if it is just not your style.  The electric guitar can be a lot of fun to play for your friends – and maybe even your own band some day in the future.

The Effort of Money Making Market Research

Posted by Thinker on Apr 30, 2009 in Thinkable

It’s important to do effective market research marketing before embarking on any sort of business venture. Due diligence is what separates effective and successful business plans from those that fail miserably. Why would you want to make huge capital investments before you understand the potential for return. Let me put it this way, it’s always good to know the hand you will be dealing to yourself before you sit down to the poker table and go “all-in” so to speak.

One thing you can do when embarking on this task is to research the importance of market research among other things to give yourself a fair chance at becoming profitable.

In addition, make sure to address other issues related to project payday. After you have compiled the information and done your homework you will be able to use this information to develop key components in your business plan and integrate the info into each section appropriately. Another advantage is that you will be able to eliminate inefficiencies and you will have a better understanding of your potential customer base as well as your competitor’s key strengths and weaknesses.

If you’re always one step ahead of the competition you will inevitably come out on top and your business will essentially thrive because of it, in fact you might even learn how to make money online in the process. After conducting business for over twenty years, situations tend to repeat themselves, one constant is that people who do not research their business before they go into business fail more often then they succeed. After you develop a winning formula you will be able to apply it to every venture that you undertake and essentially corner the market in ever single direction. Slowly your competition will be crushed and your company will gain much needed momentum and funding.

This economic environment is one of the most challenging things facing ventures nowadays so that makes it increasingly difficult to be competitive and offer things that people need without fail. Right now I would say that necessities are a much nicer industry to approach and if you think about it, people will always need food, water and shelter above all else.
